דומובוי עולה לארץ
The project follows a Domovoi named Rusik (a household spirit from Slavic mythology) and his encounter with Israeli reality. Rusik arrives in Israel alongside an immigrant family, finding himself in an unfamiliar and foreign environment.
The work draws on Slavic mythology to explore the fragility of cultural traditions, and how beliefs and customs passed down through generations can easily be forgotten and lost in the process of immigration.
העבודה עוסקת בדּוּמוֹבוֹי בשם רוּסִיק (שד הבית מהמיתולוגיה הסלאבית) ובמפגש שלו עם המציאות הישראלית. במרכז העבודה עומד הדומובוי, המגיע לישראל יחד עם משפחת מהגרים ומוצא את עצמו בסביבה זרה ולא מוכרת.
העבודה נוצרה בהשראת המיתולוגיה הסלאבית ומתמקדת בשבריריות של מסורות תרבותיות וכיצד אמונות ומנהגים שהועברו מדור לדור עלולים להישכח ולהיעלם בקלות בתהליך ההגירה.
